The title I mentioned above is a book but it isn't the one that I meant to recommend. I'll post a picture of the book I recommend in the April 25th post!Karen Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01166374693095867682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-355830180271785865.post-44109583335391557182013-04-24T06:39:56.978-07:002013-04-24T06:39:56.978-07:00Thanks again Hilda! I've read her book and Harriet's book from cover to cover more than once. Diane recommends using the darning foot for stitch in the ditch and it works a charm. These two books are probably one of the best investments for those who want to learm to machine quilt. And I'll keep you posted on my progress on the applique baskets quilt!Karen Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01166374693095867682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-355830180271785865.post-20031783364720445612013-04-23T19:58:15.876-07:002013-04-23T19:58:15.876-07:00Wonderful information - thanks for sharing! I'm going to get that book - sounds a great read. Am always looking for easier ways to fit the quilt under that needle - so very interested to hear you manage to bind before attacking the centre. As well as making the quilt a bit smaller it would get rid of all the fluff that comes off the wadding edges..
Love your work - love your hand quilting - so inspirational!
HildaEvery Stitchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12573090188337210419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-355830180271785865.post-24467907785324700452013-04-23T10:13:52.886-07:002013-04-23T10:13:52.886-07:00great ideas and fun to look at for inspirationgreat ideas and fun to look at for inspirationAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18299853924145594346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-355830180271785865.post-71970279660276466002013-04-23T09:41:56.942-07:002013-04-23T09:41:56.942-07:00Thanks for sharing your technique on machine quilt...Thanks for sharing your technique on machine quilting. I will have to keep that in mind for the next big one, haven't done any really big ones yet as I really struggle with moving around so much bulk. And those embroidered details are incredibly cute, as per usual! :)Lia*s Handmadeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16187958238753030555noreply@blogger.com
