This is a challenge quilt that I made in 2008. I call my quilt
Flora and Fauna, Parts of the Garden measures 28.5" square. There were three fabrics provided as part of the challenge. They were a turquoise solid with gold stamped dragonflies, a large print with asters and leaves on a white background and a black background with long-stem red roses. I was able to add six additional fabrics. I chose three greens, one brown, a light blue and a very busy print on a buttery colour background. There is lots of applique and embroidery in this quilt. I hope you enjoy these pictures of my quilt!
Luv, luv, LOVE these details......fabulous piece!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSTUNNING! I am speechless!
ReplyDeleteThank you both for the kind words! When I was making it I focused on just the little bit I was working on and didn't think about the whole - mostly because I only had a vague idea of what the quilt was going to look like. And I just kept going so when it was done, I was surprised too! My favourites are the mushrooms and grasshoppers! You might enjoy my quilt There's a Snail in Grandma's Flower Garden. There are lots of pictures of the details. They were published in mid April of this year.
